Sacred Space Living in North America, we are not accustomed to thinking there are naturally occurring sacred spaces within it...Onondaga Lake and the greater CNY area is one such place. Home American DreamPositive Change "Central New York State has a rich history, most especially notable for its contribution to the social and religious reform movements of the Nineteenth Century. Between Ohio and Massachusetts (most particularly between Rochester and Utica, New York) lived many of the leaders of the great reform movements whose contributions shaped the world of their time and dramatically altered the course of global events." Democracy The Tree of Peace was planted on the shores of Onondaga Lake. It along with the Great Law of Peace served as a basis for our constitution.Forgotten Fathers Origins American Democracy Great Law of Peace Great Law of Peace As historian Sally Roesch Wagner notes the "Great Law Of Peace" exerted a profound influence on the Women's Movement.
